The Owner
Chef Mya loves the challenge of cooking foods for people committed to eating for their health. The love she receives from her close friends and family and compliments on the taste of quality-ingredients in her food inspired her to start cooking.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY she discovered the love of cooking from a toddler whilst watching Julia Child to the Test Kitchen and other shows on channel 13. These shows quickly sparked her interest as a child from cooking at home under the supervision of her parents. In her teenage years, she cooked meals at every opportunity to do so.
Mya's mother began to frequently travel, allowing Monica to have firsthand experience with various cuisines, in addition to spices and herbs.

Mya is hungry to learn and want to grow her love for the culinary arts field. She believes natural food is fuel for our health and soul for a better being and living.

Ms. Mya is passionate about her cooking since she is motivated by the fact that 'Foods by Mya' make people happy. by providing good food that fuels the soul and can be the center of special or important life events that brings people together plus good food is essential to excellent health and energy her food is made with love.
Whilst on her culinary journey in 2008, she obtained her food handlers license, and since then she has been a present part of the restaurant industry.
In 2013, Mya accomplished one of her dreams by graduating with the Certification in both Culinary and Pastry Arts from Star Career Academy Culinary School.
